Troubleshoot

If you are having trouble with installing Print Just 1 here is a list of points to check.

Are you running Outlook?
Are you sure you are using Outlook rather than Outlook Express?  Print Just 1 does not work with Outlook Express

Is Print Just 1 installed properly?
Go to Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs.  If Print Just 1 has been installed properly it will be listed there.  Check that there is only one entry with Print Just 1in its name.  If there are more than one they will conflict.  Un-install them all and install the latest version.

An alternative to the pre-installer
If you use the download link near the top of the page small program called the Print Just 1 Pre-Installer is run. It checks that the necessary pre-requisites and permissions are in place. Once it has done this it downloads and runs the main installer, PrintJust1AllUsers.msi. This is the actual install program. If you have trouble with the pre-installer you could try just running the main install program (PrintJust1AllUsers.msi). Un-install the current version and try again with the pre-installer link. There is a link to it in For Network Managers section of the download page.

Has Print Just 1 installed properly but is not showing up in Outlook?
If looking at Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs  shows that Print Just 1 has been installed properly then it is likely that Outlook has either disabled the add-in or failed to load it. Look at the sections below.

Has Print Just 1 been disabled?
If everything indicates that Print Just 1 has been successfully installed but it does not appear when you start Outlook then check to see whether Outlook has disabled it.  The way you can fix this depends on the version of Outlook you are using.

    Outlook 2010 - 2016

    File > Options > Add-Ins

At the bottom of the form is a drop-down .  Change it from Manage COM Add-ins to Manage Disabled items and click Go.  If your add-in has been disabled it will be on the list and you will be able to click the Enable button to re-activate it.

    Outlook 2007

    Tools > Trust Center > Add-ins

At the bottom of the form is a drop-down .  Change it from Manage COM Add-ins to Manage Disabled items and click Go.  If your add-in has been disabled it will be on the list and you will be able to click the Enable button to re-activate it.

    Outlook 2003

Click Help on the main menu then About Microsoft Outlook.

At the bottom right of the form I a button for Disabled Items. Click it.

If your add-in has been disabled it will be on the list and you will be able to click the Enable button to re-activate it.

Did Outlook load Print Just 1 correctly?
If Print for Trial seemed to install correctly but does not show up in Outlook something may have prevented it from loading.  In you My Documents folder (just Documents on Windows Vista and Windows 7) you will find a folder called Add-in Express.  In it will be one or two log files called adxloader.log and adxRegistrator.log (though the .log part may be hidden depending on your computer's settings).   You can send these to us as email attachments to support@greenhillsoftware.co.uk.  They may help us identify any loading problems.

Do you get an error if you try to un-install?
This probably means that the install files have been corrupted in some way.  Microsoft provides a special tool to un-install in these circumstances. It is at Un-install Fixit

Are there any other clues about something going wrong?
If an error message appears and asks if you want to send it then please do.  Our first job is to try to recreate your error as the first step to fixing it.
